Movie Club Campout

Hey there clubbers. Karen and I were talking about going camping the weekend of May 1st. The current contenders are:

Anyone intersted? Spring camping is always fun or at least always an adventure. Activities usually include a hike, a fire, some drinking, lots of talking, and a completely movie free couple of days. Since it's May, bring the rain gear.

Hey,

Good seeing most of you last night. Thought it was funny that I got this e-mail from a friend in Colorado this morning. This sounds more like my type of doc. Anyone interested in going with me when it comes to town?

hi there ...

I got to see the premier of this movie last night here in Denver ... the writer/director of the movie George Hickenlooper, is the distant cousin of the mayor of Denver John Hickenlooper, and both were at the premier at the Esquire Theatre. I recommend it ... it's a documentary of this man named Rodney Bingenheimer who has been around Hollywood and the Sunset Strip for decades, he pretty much brought "alternative" music to radio, he's a DJ on KROQ in LA. Lots of great footage ... Joey Ramone is in it, Gwen Stefani is interviewed, Nancy Sinatra, David Bowie, The GTOs, Davy Jones (Rodney was Davy's stunt double back in the day) ... don't want to give it all away, but check it out ... even if you wait to rent it.

In case anyone is wondering, I'm still trying to figure out a good spot to eat and chat. Turns out that the place I wanted to go (Lucky Dog on Roosevelt) is closed on Monday nights.

Can't wait to hear what the next movie pick will be.
